Curtain Call
Eminem
For the timely pre-Christmas release of Eminem’s latest album ‘Curtain Call’ our Steve has worked a miracle with existing footage of the multi-million selling hip-hop star in the short space of a week.
Bikini music video director Stuart Fryer wanted to make the most out of what material he could lay his hands on and create something that would stand out from the usual “stick a few pictures in a TV screen or a cinema screen” which is a common device for most CD ads.
Backgrounds filmed at London’s Cobden Club were matched to backgrounds in the existing footage including camera moves and lenses. Steve and assistant Edwin then cut Eminem out of his well known videos and live concert footage and have placed him so well on the live action stages that people might be fooled into thinking Eminem was at the shoot for real! Adding extra beams of light, projections and graphics all helped to create the illusion.
‘Curtain Call’ had a unique premiere on Thursday 12th December, airing across all commercial TV stations in the UK at exactly 9pm.
